StarLight (itch) (GuldorGames) Mac OS

Mac

Installing Mac OS X El Capitan. The installation process of mac os el Capitan includes two methods. The first method is termed as an upgrade install, also known as the default method. The second method is known as a clean install. Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 DMG Install and Download. Upgrade install-Follow to below steps-Visit the Mac App Store. It works fine on PC, but on Mac it has a huge memory leak. The problem: I don't know how to debug it. WinDbg, the top Google suggestion, obviously is out. I don't think I can get a clue from inside of VS (when connected via remote debugging). And I haven't checked, but I don't imagine Mac OS.

Escape your doom and jump your mothership 7times to a safe heaven.

Manage food and ship damage, gather resources and update your fleet while escaping every time to safety.

GameJam Entree,
It all kind of works, but more time would have been better. Animation, effects, ballancing and more clear text stuff is still a bit missing.

Install instructions

(Hello! Thank you for giving my game a chance. The game is in a zip folder, so after you install it, double click it. Then click on the executable file titled, 'game.' It will ask you to extract the files. Say yes, and select your desired destination.)

(A warning to Mac users: I've had some difficulty getting it to save properly on that system. My recommendation is either to give it full disk access, or to run the Windows version in an emulator.)

hi again! i translated your game
should i send you a download link?

Please do! I’m sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Thanks again for taking the time to do this!

Thank you so much! This was so nice of you and it looks great! I've been really busy with work lately, but I'll have this version up officially this Saturday. This is for Windows, yes?

Hello! Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you. Here is good for now. Any particular reason?

yes, i'm writing you about the translation of the game

Oh, yeah, I think I've seen you around. Russian, right? I'd be willing. Just let me get a patch out that changes some dialogue and fixes a few bugs first.

Of course! Sorry about the wait: just trying to figure out how to make a Mac OS version save properly. Hopefully this will be out soon!

im stuck trying to kill the plague victim with the stone, am i supposed to just walk up to it from infront of behind or what?

Starlight (itch) (guldorgames) Mac Os Free

(Hello! Sorry it took me so long to reply.)

(You have to sharpen the stone first. There's a pillar on the opposite side of the map that's scratched up. Interacting with it with the stone will get you your desired results.)

(Hope this helps!)

Mac

thanks for replying, but i already sharpened the stone and everytime i try and walk up to the plague victim I die as soon as it sees me.

(That's very odd and absolutely should not be happening. You trigger a cutscene after sharpening it, right? After that, it should be possible to just walk up to it and press enter. The following scene sounds as though you've died, but should take you to the next part.)

(Can you send a video or GIF of this happening in full to the game over screen?)

It looks like im not getting a cutscene.

(Aha!)

(This is a result of bad eventing on my part: you aren't supposed to be able to reach the pillar from that side of the wall. Try facing it directly, from here:)

(That should give you the cutscene. Hope this helps! I'm sorry for the inconvenience: when I get a chance, I'll try to patch it.)

Thanks for making the game and putting it up here for free! I've managed to gather the combined hooks, but I can't seem to find any source for the rope. Do you have a walkthrough or any hints?

(Hello!)

(Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, I don't have an official walkthrough included, but as for hints, I would check the science classroom next to Sage. Best of luck!)

Oh thank you! I missed that, I guess my eyes didn't pick up the contrast or the cable hanging off the desk, even though I looked everywhere!

I really enjoyed your game and you definitely exceeded my expectations when I downloaded it - it provided great entertainment for a number of hours. The only constructive criticism I would offer is that the last part of the game felt like it skipped too much plot, but I did like the way you wrapped things up. And in fact, it certainly seems you've left open the possibility to explore a sequel someday?

(Thank you for playing the game, and thank you once more for your feedback! I should probably lighten the contrast in the cable a little bit, because there have been other people who have had a similar issue. Maybe sometime in the next patch?)

(I agree with your assessment that some parts of the story are rushed. When I originally wrote the game, I had planned to make it much longer, but my interest in the project waned so I had to dramatically shorten it. But you're right; I definitely could have done a lot more.)

(As for a sequel, maybe someday, but not someday soon. My hands still need to recover, and I have a few projects that I would like to tackle first, but I left the story open for a reason, and hope I can return to it.)

(In any case, I'm glad that you enjoyed the game!)

Hi could you please tell me where you found the combined hooks?

Starlight (itch) (guldorgames) Mac Os Version

(Hello! There should be two open lockers that have two different hooks. One needs rubbing alcohol to get it off (be sure to read the sign in the Janitor's Closet first- I added a bit of anti-meta gaming that I never removed), and then use glue to combine them together.)

(It's in the closed cabinet in the Science Classroom.)

(I'll have to post a walkthrough along with some bug fixes once I'm done with the Jam I'm currently in.)
